Turn on multi-factor authentication

Add a second step to sign-in so a stolen password alone cannot open your books.

Multi-factor authentication asks for a second proof at sign-in, after your password. It is the single most effective protection for a financial account.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings β†’ Security.

  2. Choose Set up multi-factor authentication.

  3. Pick a method. An authenticator app or a security key is stronger than a text message; use a text message only if the others are not possible for you.

  4. Follow the steps and confirm with a code.

  5. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe and offline. They are the way back in if you lose your phone.

What changes afterwards

Each sign-in from a new device asks for the second step. A device you have used before may skip it for a while. Sensitive actions, such as changing your email or removing a device, ask you to confirm again even in a signed-in session.

Lost your phone?

Sign in with a recovery code, then open Settings β†’ Security to set up a new method. If you have no recovery code, contact support@bookepr.com from the email address on your account. We verify your identity before we reset anything.
