Connect an account

  1. Open Banking and choose Connect account.

  2. Find your bank in the list and sign in through the secure window. Some banks send you to their own website to approve the connection and then return you to Bookepr.

  3. Choose the accounts you want in your books and confirm.

Bookepr never sees or stores your bank password. The connection is made by a regulated financial data provider, and you can remove it at any time from the Banking page.

What Bookepr receives

Account names, balances, and transaction history for the accounts you chose. New transactions arrive on their own, usually within a day of posting at your bank.

When your bank asks you to reconnect

Banks expire connections from time to time, and some require a fresh approval after a password change. When that happens the account shows a Reconnect notice on the Banking page. Choose it and sign in again. Your existing transactions and categories are kept.

Map an account to your chart of accounts

Each connected account posts to one account in your chart of accounts. Bookepr proposes a match when you connect. Change it from the account's menu on the Banking page if the proposal is wrong.
